Matt Jelf, our Music Director
Biography

Matthew is a choral conductor, baritone and music educator working in and around London. Matthew is currently Music Director of Shalford Choral Society (Surrey) and the Thames Valley Gay Chorus (Reading). Matthew was recently appointed Assistant Director of Music at St Paul's Preparatory School (Colet Court) in Barnes, London in September 2011. Previous conducting work includes posts with the London Gay Men's Chorus, News International Choir and Take Note Chamber Choir. Previous education work includes animateur posts with Bedfordshire Music Service (Sing Up) and Rochester Cathedral Sing Up Outreach Scheme.

Matthew is a Baritone with the Philharmonia Chorus Professional Singers Scheme and performs regularly as part of the Blossom Street Singers, a professional octet based in London with concerts, festivals and corporate engagements across the UK. Matthew regularly deputises at London churches including St Martin in the Fields, Rochester Cathedral, St Bartholomew the Great, Chelsea Old Church, All Saint's Margaret Street and Chapel Royal Hampton Court.

Matthew is an experienced singing teacher and coach and has worked with institutions including the Royal College of Music, Guildhall and Trinity College of Music.
